SELEGGT CIRCUIT
THE NEW STANDARD TO STOP CHICK CULLING

Find it at booth 07.B038

Every year, about 330 million male chicks are killed in Europe alone directly after hatching. Simply because they aren’t suitable of producing eggs or meat. Our society needs efficiency in food production, but we should be critical about the ethical impact of efficiency.

At SELEGGT, we successfully offer technology to end chick culling. Since 2019 already millions of male chicks were not killed, thanks to us. But we constantly innovate and keep finding new solutions.
Our major strategic goal is to eliminate culling of male chicks in the egg supply chains. Gender identification in the hatching egg ensures a more animal-friendly egg production, while maintaining and even improving the efficiency of the sector as practiced today. The high level of scientific and technological standards held by SELEGGT has enabled a process to be developed that is robust and reliable, easy to use and high through-put.

Thanks to our latest innovation SELEGGT Circuit, chick culling can now be stopped by every layer hatchery.
