At VIV Europe, Petersime will present an innovative range of single-stage incubators that sets new standards in incubation. The S-line optimizes hatchery performance by increasing the quality and quantity of chicks. In addition, it reduces energy, maintenance and labour costs. The new line provides the long-awaited answer to hatcheries wishing to maximize their economic return.
New range of single-stage incubators
BioStreamer 12S setter (capacity: 57,600 eggs)
The S-line is an entire family of setter and hatcher configurations for incubation of chicken, turkey, duck and goose eggs, with capacities ranging from 14,112 to 115,200 eggs. It exists in two product ranges:
• AirStreamerPlus™: a standard version, including all the essential functionalities of a modern state-of-the-art single-stage incubator.
• BioStreamer™: a more elaborate model with an advanced user interface and autopilot functionality based on Petersime’s patented Embryo-Response Incubation™ technology.

Higher chick output
Increasing competition in the poultry market and pressure on prices are driving hatcheries to maximize their production. Good production is, however, no longer restricted to a high hatchability. It also requires uniform chicks with a low postnatal mortality rate and a low feed conversion ratio (FCR). That’s why the S-line focuses on giving the embryo a bio-secured environment with the optimum conditions to develop and grow to its maximum genetic potential.
Petersime fully exploited all capabilities offered by current technologies. The S-line features, for instance, a new ventilation system that provides uniform airflow in the entire incubator. Some of the models can also be equipped with advanced Embryo-Response Incubation™ sensor devices that ensure improved hatchability and better chick performance.
Reduced energy costs
Reducing costs for energy has become just as important as maximizing the output. The S-line has been designed to prevent all energy leakages and to provide a highly efficient energy transfer. The S-line cabinet is perfectly sealed and the ventilation and cooling system is highly efficient. In addition, the Eco-Drive™ technology provides energy savings of up to 50%. Limiting the energy consumption also limits the carbon footprint, an aspect that’s gaining importance in the poultry sector.
Ease of operation and maintenance
The designers of the new line also paid special attention to the human factor. This has resulted in equipment that is safe, ergonomic and very easy to operate. With the intuitive user interface, for instance, you can start operating the equipment with minimum training and just a few clicks. The Eye-Blink™ feature that’s provided on BioStreamer™ models gives you a graphic overview of all key parameters when you approach the incubator.
A proximity sensor detects the presence of a person and automatically activates the Eye-Blink™ feature to show all key incubation parameters.
The material and design of the S-line also ensure that the incubators can be cleaned easily and completely, even with a high-pressure water cleaner. Since the equipment maximizes the use of maintenance-free components, maintenance is limited. When maintenance is required, standard tooling and non-specialized technicians are sufficient to do the job.
Built on expertise and extensive pilot tests
Petersime has developed this range by building on the extensive experience of its first generation of single-stage incubators, the well-known AirStreamer™ incubators, and on the knowledge gained from studying numerous field data.
However, the S-line hasn’t been built solely on Petersime’s own experience. The performance of the S-line has also been tested extensively in the field through various pilot cases at customers’ hatcheries. This has enabled Petersime to ensure that expectations are fulfilled.
Ready for the future
All S-line models are made of durable material and have been designed to last a lifetime. They are also future proof. The S-line copes easily with the increasing embryonic heat production of modern high yield birds. It also provides expansion capabilities for future options by using an intelligent controller with an open architecture based on industry standards. This enables you to upgrade it easily by adding new sensor units or by simply downloading the latest software.
