“The Chick Box™ is a plastic injection moulded modular nest box that will save hundreds of hours cleaning over the life time of your poultry shed, more importantly it is a massive step forward when managing red mite, disease and bacteria within the important nesting area and my laying hens love them!”
The Chick Box™ system will retro fit into any shed configuration. In most cases you screw them to a length of suitable wood - 75-50mm is ideal - and hang them in a suitable position at approximately 600-800mm from the shed floor. They dovetail together so they can be double stacked or added to each other inline as your flock grows. We recommended that four laying hens to each Chick Box™ is a good ratio for your flock.
The Chick Box™ is draught free, but is ventilated to keep the hens warm in winter and cool in summer. The perch bracket is at the perfect height with additional grip detail to easily allow the hen to lift herself out of the Chick Box™.“
