Lesaffre Feed Additives, the Animal Nutrition and Health division of the Lesaffre group, is investing in aquaculture with the recruitment of a specialist. Please come and meet him during VIV Europe on LFA’s booth Hall 9 D 041.
Founded in 1853, the Lesaffre group is the world leader in the yeast industry, with sites on all five continents. Thanks to its expertise in the biotechnology field (yeast, flavourings, enzymes and bacteria, etc.) and in the fermentation processes, it is today present in all areas of nutrition and health, in addition to its traditional sectors such as bakers' yeast.
Widely recognised for its ability to innovate and its skill with complex fermentation processes, Lesaffre has developed a range of feed additives that fulfil the most stringent requirements of the feed industry and animal production sectors.
LFA is now investigating the aquatic animal segment with the recruitment of Philippe Tacon an aquaculture specialist. Philippe has been involved in aquaculture since getting his PhD degree in 1995 from the University of Rennes, France and has then worked as a researcher at the National Taiwan Ocean University, in the shrimp aquaculture business in Thailand and as a consultant for several players of the aquaculture industry.
LFA will introduce to the aquatic market its products such as live yeast, yeast cell walls or yeast extracts and some products already show promising results in disease resistance in tilapia and in growth in Asian sea bass and shrimp.
Philippe Tacon will be present on the LFA’s booth (Hall 9 D 041) on Wednesday 21st April.
